On July 25th 2008 was our second test. But this time the pressure losses in the pipes were unexpectedly higher and the Nitrous Oxide made a phase change from liquid to gaseous, what you can see clearly at the strong temperature decrease in the pipes and the formation of ice on the outside of the valve ( lower picture ). During the third test on August 28th 2008 there was again formation of ice and therefore a very low massflow of Nitrous Oxide. The Rocket Engine ignited as usual, but the thrust was as expected pretty low.
